Professional, Experienced Dog Trainers
After being accepted into the group, our experienced trainers undergo one of the most complete and rounded training programs in the industry, consisting of a 360 hour curriculum that includes extensive study on canine learning theory and social development, as well as an intensive hands-on in-residence training component conducted in Dover, Delaware.
Our customized puppy training program was developed in response to the unfortunate inadequacy of the majority of puppy training classes that are currently available to new puppies and their people. For years, every day, we hear from the owners of adolescent or adult dogs with a range of behavioral issues. Frequently, during our behavioral consultations, we would discover that these dogs’ behavior problems could be traced back to a few contributing factors.
- An incident that occurred in puppy class involving a socially inappropriate dog, who should not have been allowed in the class.
- Improper “cookie cutter” advise given to a dog owner regarding their dog’s behavior, or behavior issue that is occurring in the home.
- Inappropriate socialization occurring in a puppy class.
- The recommendation of a training methodology that is inappropriate for the individual dog.
The majority of our adolescent and adult dog training clients would not have needed our help if they received proper training and guidance during their critical period, which is approximately 8 – 16 weeks of age. It’s said that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and along that vein, just a few sessions with one of our experienced trainers will not only save you the inconvenience and frustration of attending a chaotic puppy class taught by a novice trainer, but will also prevent the need for more advanced training, or behavioral intervention when your dog is older.
